Andromeda Galaxy with H-alpha
Taken 8/27/19 from Kennewick, WA. Imaging: 1 hour 38 minutes with a light pollution filter using a ZWO ASI094MC PRO Color camera and 1 hour with a Hydrogen Alpha filter.
Telescope is a Celestron 11 inch f/2.2 (620 mm focal length) RASA design that can only be used with a camera for imaging. (The camera mounts to the front of the scope, and there is no place for an eyepiece.) The mount is a Celestron CGX-L located on a pier. Guided with PHD and a ZWO ASI209 guide camera and a ZWO guide scope. Processing: ImagesPlus for de-Bayering and calibration of dark frames, bias and flats. Registar for alignment of the images, and Photoshop CS4 for final contrast and color balance. This one prints well at 20 x 16 inches at Wallgreens.
