Friday Night at Rattlesnake

Several people were generous enough to bring out their telescopes all the way to Rattlesnake Mountain (I think the total was 4 for the night), it was great looking at all the awesome galaxies, nebulae, planets and clusters out there!  I struggled myself getting my camera focused pointed at the right part of the sky, but I will post a quick preview of the 2 hours of Andromeda I was able to get before the clouds rolled!

Since I am not exactly happy with how that picture will/has turned out, I will share a more successful shot I took of the Veil nebula last month as well to show off a little bit![Image: image.png]

Nice photos!

The light dome of Benton City was larger than I expected which was a disappointment thus the search goes on for a better site not so far away, may have to try the old Yakima highway area just west of the West entrance into Hanford or go the other way to area EAST of Ice Harbor Dam where a tiny community is located for a nearby spot to use maybe even Charbonneau Park itself which is a state park for a night.
