Interesting Article

Here's a link to an interesting article on the two methods for measuring the expansion rate of the universe. Both methods demonstrably accurate, but giving two different answers.  I would like to understand this a little better.  Perhaps a topic for future club meeting?

Karim,

Would You like to, or venture to, discuss this here?

If so, others may reply and I'd cooperate with
making sense, such as we are able.
If we show our amateur status and our ignorance, this
can help whoever reads it, to make a better presentation.
I think others are with me in this:
showing our ignorance, without shame, is a fair offering to science.

Our congressman, from the Tri-Cities and Mid-Columbia, was on the board
which created the Hubble Space Telescope.
Here is a webpage of science quotations he commissioned and edited
in the mid-1990s:

I tested the link directly from this note on both Edge and Chrome and it works.
Might take a while to load.

Mike
